Progressive Machine and Tool has been serving customers since 1996. In the spring of 2004 construction was completed on our new 9600 sq ft facility allowing us room to grow and expand our capabilites for years to come.

Our Equipment

The heart of our manufacturing faciltiy is our CNC department featuring high-tech 3 and 4 axis machinery. A 4 axis Haas machining center, a 3 axis Leblond-Makino and a 3 axis Nasa do the flat work while a Daewoo Puma 240 with bar-feeder and a Mazak QT-6G with a robotic loader handle the round work. Complimented by a Mitsubishi Wire EDM for the tedious and complex parts.

Backing this is our manual machining department with several knee mills most of which included 2 axis Accu-rite controllers, manual lathes from small toolroom types up to our heavy duty 22" X 90" Kingston and dry and wet grinding capabilities up to 8" X 24". Besides this, we also maintain an excellent array of support equipment.

Quality Control

The job isn't finished until it has been inspected and to handle that task we have multiple ways to check for accuracy. A Brown and Sharpe CMM, an optical comparator with an automatic edge finding device and an optical scope combined with numerous other smaller hand held gages help to make sure that your part is made to exacting quality.
